This coming Saturday the 31st July the Saints will host a Caribbean Abuelo rum party.  The party starts at 9pm and tickets are available now from the barman for 150 crowns each (180 crowns on the night).  Each ticket entitles you to 2 long cocktails and one shot, all made with delicious Abeulo rum from Panama. 

The July quiz was won by new combo The Bar Beatches who squeaked home by half a point clear of a returning Latin Lovers team.  The next quiz will take place on Sunday August 22nd and will be hosted by Ingo and a surprise guest presenter.

The June quiz was won by a resurgent Dredgers who triumphed ahead of Roxy's New Trick in an exciting finish.

The May quiz was won by Euro-American combo 333 who defeated the Quiz Queens in a very tight finish.  Our thanks to Grant and Honza for organising such a good quiz.  The next quiz will take place on Sunday June 27th and be hosted by John and Paul. 

The Queens Day Quiz Queens quiz on April 25th saw victory for the Fish Tanks who squeaked him home by one half point ahead of new team Roxy Music.  The next quiz will be hosted by Grant and Honza and takes place on Sunday May 30th.

After almost two years of trying, the Quiz Queens finally triumphed in the postponed March quiz.  

On March 20th we will celebrate our fifth birthday with a big party starting at 10:30pm.  We look forward to seeing you there. 

The February quiz was won by newcomers The Lovely Buns, an Anglo-Mexican combo who beat the Kinky Judges by two points ina very tight finish.  The next quiz will take place on Sunday March 28th at 8.30pm and be hosted by Ingo and Daniel. We look forward to seeing you there.

The annual Christmas quiz hosted by the venerable Dredgers saw victory for the reformed Ingonationals who, despite the absence of their mascot and team leader Ingo, had a winning margin of 9 points over the second-placed Protaganists. 

November's quiz hosted by Ingo and Marielle was won by new team  the Viking Frisco Bitches after a thrilling tie break victory over the Medical Marvels. 

The Saints biennial Hallowe'en party will take place on Saturday October 31st from 9pm.  We look forward to seeing you all there and promise lots of surprises.  

The Quiz Queens October quiz, ably presented by Bastiaan and Ismayil, produced a stunning victory for new team The Ingonationals (no prize for guessing the name of the team captain) who romped home clear by 10 points.  The re-formed Dredgers trailed in a miserable third.  The next quiz will take place on Sunday November 29th and be presented by Saints Best Drinker 2009 Ingo and Miss Saints, the glamorous Marielle.   

The September quiz saw victory for the iconclastic Anti-Dredgers who won in a tiebreaker following a nailbiting finish.   

A controversial August quiz hosted by new couple Bruce and Ingo eventually saw victory for the Teenage Shaggs team, beating a crowded field in emphatic style.  The next quiz will be hosted by Lawrence and Paul and take place on Sunday September 27th.

The July quiz proved to be the busiest, longest and richest and eventually saw a narrow victory for the Protagonists with new teams The UnDutchables and Demi Moore Lumberjacks finishing second and third.  The scary religious round lived up to its name and actually reduced some participants to tears.

The June quiz saw victory for newcomers Team Honza who had an easy victory over second placed the Quiz Queens, still without a win after 900 quiz appearances. 

At the May quiz hosted by the joint American combo of Grant and Masculine Mike the Quizmasters romped to victory for a second successive month.  They have now decided to take a summer break to allow all the other teams a chance.  

Saints will host an Abba and 70s party on Saturday 30th May from 8.30pm with music from Abba and the era.  Come as a member of the fab foursome or anyone else from the 70s to get a free cocktail. 

After hosting the March quiz in some style last month The Quizmasters duly won the Quiz Queens Orange Queens quiz on Sunday April 26th in their first appearance as a team, despite some devilishly difficult questions.  Teenage Pregnancy finished second and the Dredgers a poor third. 

The next quiz will take place on Sunday April 26th and will be presented by Bastiaan and his Quiz Queens.  A distinctly royal and Dutch flavour is promised.  This will be followed by our special Orange Queens Night party on Wednesday 29th April, starting at 8 30pm. 

Saints celebrated its 4th birthday on Saturday 21st March.   In a packed awards programme Petr lifted the 'Best Barman ever' trophy, Havar was chosen Mr Saints 2009 and Ingo won the much sought after Best Drinker award. 

The March quiz will be a special Multiple Presenter version with guest slots from some of your favourite regulars.  All will be revealed in the next few days. 

The February 'Yes we can' quiz was won by the new quiz kings The Teenage Pregnancy Section who stormed to victory by a 5 and a half point margin.  The once almighty Dredgers finished a disastrous last.  The next quiz will take place on Sunday 29th March.   

Saints intends to ring in the New Year in style with tunes from DJ Petr, the Big Ben bells at midnight and a plethora of exciting and highly alcoholic drink offers.  We look forward to seeing you there.

The final quiz of the year on December 30th saw the Ukrainian/Norwegian/Kenyan/British quartet The Bitches and Hoes storm to victory with 44 points after a fantastic 20 point music round.  The Dredgers trailed in dismally in 4th place with just 36 points.  Are we now seeing a new alignment as the year draws to an end?     

The November quiz was won for a second time by the Anglo/Czech/Portuguese combo The Teenage Pregnancy Section, who pulled off an amazing comeback to triumph by 4 points, knocking a disgruntled Dredgers into second place.  The Quiz Queens won had led comfortably after round 2 were left to rue another disastrous music round which scuppered their chances.  The next quiz will be hosted by Quiz Queens and will be devoted to all things Christmas, taking place on December 14th. 

October's quiz, hosted by the venerable Dredgers, saw the Saints storm to victory by 3 points over an Australian/Czech/Scottish combo who pushed them close til a disatrous final Science and Nature round. 

September's International Quiz was won by the Anglo Portuguese combo The Teenage Pregnancy Section who defeated a disappointed Dredgers by 2 points.

The Saints team duly romped to an overwhelming victory at the Dastardly Dredgers quiz on July 27th, winning by a massive 17 points over the second placed team. Such is our modesty that we will return once again to setting and hosting the quiz, the next of which will take place on Sunday 31st August. We look forward to seeing you there.

On July 3rd Saints will host a special Stonewall party for lesbians, bisexuals and their friends in honour of the 39th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

Despite a theme heavy on Scandinavia and medicine the all Norwegian student doctor Shameless team were unable to pull off a victory in the June quiz, losing by one point to new team The Smegmas. Team 'teamless' (really the Dredgers in disguise) finished a hugely embarrassing last.

May's 'special edition' quiz, hosted by new quizmaster Scott, saw the first ever clash between the Saints team and a full strength Dredgers team, with former winners the Latin Lovers, Team Shameless and Ingo's 'Quiz Queens' also in attendance. It was however new team 'Posledniy Geroiy' who proved the strongest challengers to the all conquering Saints team. But after a second round wobble that saw them back in 5th place, Saints romped to victory by a 5 point margin, leaving a bitter Dredgers literally spitting into their beers. The next quiz will take place on Sunday June 29th.

The end of April quiz, and the last to be hosted by Daisy David, was won by The Dredgers, overturning a massive early Latin Lovers team to squeak home by one point. A tearful Daisy was almost too moved to announce the final results.

The special April quiz in honour of the Coggles Royal Family saw a stunning victory for the (never knowingly modest) Latin Lovers who defeated the Dredgers by two points in the highest scoring quiz in Saints history. Once again Saints has proved to be simply the brainiest gay bar in Prague. The next quiz will be on Sunday April 27th and will be the last for outgoing quizmaster Daisy.

The Saints team romped to victory by a huge 12 point margin in the Dredgers Easter quiz on March 23. A hapless sons of Dredgers team could only manage 3rd place. Saints team member David will be back as quiz master, albeit sadly for the last time, on April 6th. We look forward to seeing you all from 8.30pm.

Saints celebrated its third birthday with a raucous party on March 15th. Hosted by a tidily turned out Daisy, we presented our Saints awards for 2008, including Best Dressed, Biggest Slag and other prizes. In a huge shock Lawrence scooped 3 awards including the most coveted Best Drinker but was defeated into second place in the coveted Mr Saints award by former barman and champion flirt Tora.

The February quiz was won by the Dredgers ending their long barren run with a storming 1 point victory over two new teams, KFOR and The Bench. The Dredgers will now host the next quiz on Easter Sunday the 23rd March.

The end of year quiz was won in a shock victory by a Mexican/Ecuadorian/Cypriot/Czech combo who squeezed past the all Portugueses Bolinhos team after a tiebreaker. The Dredgers finished a dismal third. The next quiz will take place on January 27.

Our barman James has been getting homesick so in honour of him and Australians everywhere we will be celebrating Australia day in the Saints on 26 January.

The Dredgers Christmas quiz was a lively affair, with much rowdy Christmas carol singing, drinking of B52s and general merriment. But the highlight of the night was surely the stunning victory of the Saints Team, who romped home to victory by a margin of 1 point.

The Saints will get into the festive spirit early this year with our annual Christmas party on Friday December 7th, featuring Santa Beaver and her party games, festive drinks, yule logs and much more.

The November quiz saw a truly amazing massive victory for the Latin Lovers who stormed to a ten point victory over a lacklustre Dredgers team.

The October quiz saw one of the biggest shocks in its short history when the once all conquering Dredgers suffered a humiliating 4th place finish after the three top teams all ended on the same points. Newcomers Joy Beorge eventually emerged victorious but was that Ian from opening quiz Saints champions The Shaggs hiding there in their line up?

The Saints will host its second Hallowe'en party on Saturday 27th October starting at 8 30pm. Featuring the legendary Patricia Beaver, mummies, zombies, party games, a prize draw and the whole cast of Scooby Doo. We look forward to seeing you there.

After the special September quiz hosted by regular winners The Dredgers (congratulations to first time winners The Commonwealth All Stars), we return to normalcy with the October quiz on Sunday the 28th. The Dredgers will be back in contention daring all comers to knock them off their exceptionally high perch. The quiz starts at 8 30pm hosted once again by drunken Daisy.

In one of the biggest shocks in pub quiz history perennial second from last finishers The Latin Lovers triumphed in a clear victory in the July quiz. The Lovers clearly benefited from a lacklustre performance by sons of Dredgers team the Sordid Spoons who clearly felt the loss of their incarcerated former team members (currently being entertained by respectively a police drunk tank and a Thai prison.) The next quiz will take place on August 26th.

A thrilling third pub quiz at The Saints was only settled by a tiebreaker after three teams - champions The Dredges, former winners The Shaggs and new team Hot Bot - all finished on the same points. Dredges Star player Scott finally achieved victory by correctly guessing Sophie Ellis Bextor as the singer of the tiebreak song. It's goodbye for now to Shaggs captain Ian who is off to cruise in the parks of Luxemburg for the next year. The next quiz will be on Sunday 29 July.

The Saints held its first monthly pub quiz on April 29th hosted by the popular Daisy. A very competitive event was eventually won by The Shaggs, holding off the Dredgers by a four point margin. The Shaggs have promised to defend their title at the next event on May 27th.

We celebrated our 2nd Birthday on March 16th with a party for all our regulars including the famous Saints Awards ceremony presided over by her highness The Lady Patricia Beaver. Ms Beaver was herself the recipient of the prized Miss Saints award which she dedicated to her late departed sister Pussy Galore, so tragically pushed down the stairs in a bizarre accident last month. Other winners included Bruce for Best Drinker and Petr who defeated a crowded field to win Mr Saints.

The bar now has a new ventilation system. Come in and drink in that pure air!

Thursdays continues to be Ladies Night in the Saints or Saint Bitch according to the flyers. We will be planning some theme parties for this night, watch this space.

On Saturday 27 January we held an 80s pop party. We were dazzled by the singing skills of new star Pussy Galore and the wit of Patricia Beaver and a subsequent cat fight between the two.

This year's Christmas party was a suitably glorious event although Patricia Beaver was most put out by the surprise appearance of her younger and allegedly more glamorous sister Pussy Galore. The promised 'handbags at dawn' fight did not materialize for vodka-related reasons although the lesbi-show on the bar was pretty good. Congratulations to the Belgian team who won the quiz and subsequent Beaver challenge.

We held a fabulous Russian Revolution Party in October courtesy of our great friends Sergey and Natasha with 70s Russian disco music and party games galore hosted by Ms Beaver, who insisted on congratulating all the champions in her own inimitable style. The winner of the Russian blowjob competition has however asked that his name be kept anonymous.

The Saints celebrated its first birthday party on March 18th with a big knees up and the most unlikely awards ceremony seen so far in Prague, presided over by the delightful Ms Beaver.

The Saints kicked off the festive season early with a raucous Christmas Party on December 3rd. Santa came, delivered presents and then turned into Patricia Beaver! The lady herself entertained the crowd with whipped cream, audacious high kicks and gratuitous Lesbian kissing.

On 29 October The Saints took a journey to its darker side with a Halloween party featuring snakes, mummies, witches and zombies and that was just our regulars. A raucous and emotional Patricia Beaver entertained everyone with her original bar top dancing.

The legendary caberet act Patricia Beaver made a rare one off appearance at Saints on 26 August. Notwithstanding a dodgy new wig and some even dodgier jokes (no doubt acquired across the pond as part of Madonna’s entourage) Patricia wowed the crowd with her ability to drink a bottle of vodka and sing at the same time.

Directions to the bar:

Take the metro to Jiriho z Podebrad on the Green A line. Walk down Vinohradska street, turning right to Trebizkeho street and then second left to Polska. We are a few doors on the left. The walk should take no more than 10 minutes. You can also reach us by tram No.11 to Vinohradska Trznice. From this stop it is only a couple of minutes walk to the bar.
