Plzen, the fourth largest city in the Czech Republic, is home to the world famous Pils beer and also the site of the headquarters of the Pilsner Urquell company that makes the legendary golden stuff, the most popular of Czech beers as well as the Gambrinus range of beers. The brewery is the largest in the country and runs extensive tours showing its production and history. There is more to Plzen that just the brewery however. The city dates from the late 13th century and has gone to great lengths to preserve its medieval heritage including the 13th century St. Bartholomew's Cathedral and a system of underground tunnels under the old city.
On this tour you will visit the brewery, underground system and Cathedral on a tour that should not be missed by beer and history lovers. Please note that both the brewery and underground visits are group tours run by the Plzen company - it not possible to visit these unaccompanied.
